Maria Nilsdotter presents a new collection reminiscent of Swedish Midsummer rituals. As the longest day of the year dawns, the air seems different. The smell of the warm earth, steaming under the stirrings of a culminating sun. Sensing a sudden absence of gravity, one might think it’s only morning mist out on the fields. Look closer, something whispers. The fairies are dancing. Come closer. The viper moves silently through the dewy grass.
Blurring the line between reality and the myth; ”For this collection I wanted to capture the strange and magical essence of Midsummer’s Eve, when the daylight never really fades and you can sense the supernatural all around you”, says Maria Nilsdotter.
