Qualifications:

The Head of Finance & Commercial Planning is a key role responsible for overseeing the financial management and commercial performance of the company. This person will play a strategic and operational role in planning, controlling, and optimizing the company’s financial and commercial activities — spanning across all sales channels including e-commerce, retail and wholesale.

Working closely with the CEO and department leads, this role ensures that financial goals, sales forecasts, and buying plans are aligned to support sustainable and profitable growth. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, deep commercial understanding, and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Planning

  • Lead the end-to-end commercial calendar, encompassing sales forecasting, stock planning, buying and supply chain coordination. Ensure product availability and operational efficiency.

  • Work closely with Product Manager on pricing and margin targets

  • Align buying and inventory management with sales targets and budget goals

  • Monitor channel performance and provide actionable insight

  • Develop reports and insights to support decision-making and optimize channel profitability

  • Partner with cross-functional teams at HQ and work closely with product - & channel owners in E-com, Retail, Wholesale to optimize business performance (i.e. minimize overstock and improve sell-through)

  • Provide strategic support to the CEO and leadership team in business planning and decision-making

Financial Management

  • Lead the company’s financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Own performance tracking and ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and long-term financial planning

  • Own P&L management across channels

  • Oversee margin and pricing strategies

  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, with full oversight of accounting processes and regulatory compliance.

  • Oversee payroll, pensions and insurance administration.

  • Handle legal matters, including brand registrations, protection against infringements and related issues.

  • Own and administer the business system

Profile & Requirements

  • Experienced in analytical roles within commercial planning (buying/merchandising) or finance - ideally both disciplines and within fashion, retail or consumer goods.

  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to translate numbers into actions

  • Proven ability to manage financial planning processes and drive commercial strategy and profitability

  • Strong communicator and collaborator with a solution-oriented mindset

  • Experience in scaling/growth environments is a big plus

  • Highly proficient in Excel and experienced in handling commercial & financial management tools
